Are you a fan of the works of Fyodor Dostoevsky?
Have you been inspired to write a song, a poem, story, video or short film based on his novels or short stories?
Have you drawn fan art, or created a meme?
The North American Dostoevsky Society invites you to submit your creative project for inclusion in our public multimedia extravaganza 200th Birthday Party for Dostoevsky on November 11, 2021, 7pm EST on Zoom. If you would like your art, video, parody, memes to be included in the celebration, please fill out the following Google form by October 25, 2021: https://forms.gle/MxDcf88EiqWCvFXY6. We will be in touch during the following week. There will also be an open mic session where speakers can testify about their experiences reading Dostoevsky’s works.
I don’t suppose I can, since I am not in academia. I once wrote The Idiot Goes to a Chinese Restaurant.

Hi Anna, yes this is fine! Please do submit the trailer! You might also consider submitting the film to the International Dostoevsky Society’s film contest (if it meets the criteria) as that deadline is later! https://dostoevsky.org/news/video-contest/

I’ve created a number of videos and podcast episodes on Dostoevsky’s work over the years, but they’re academic lectures. I imagine you’re looking for shorter, more “what it was like reading Dostoevsky” videos?

Honestly, our call is broad! Creative videos are fine. Academic videos are fine. Reader response videos are fine. Everything is welcome!
